Migration
How to move projects to Nolay from another panel, a PaaS or your own scripts.
Nolay does not install next to another hosting panel on the same server: the installer stops if it finds Coolify, Dokploy, CapRover, Plesk, cPanel, ISPmanager, aaPanel or HestiaCP. So migration goes to a new server.
General order
- Rent a new server and connect it.
- Create projects from the same repository. If the project has a
Dockerfile, Nolay builds with it. - Move environment variables: non-secret ones to
[env], the rest to Secrets. - Move database data with a dump and restore it on the new server.
- Check the project at the tunnel address or by IP, then switch the domain DNS to the new server.
